The installation of Safescape Laddertube is fast and simple – using a winch of appropriate rating for the length of ladderway, it is lowered into position. The ladders are secured to the raise footwall with anchoring bolts.
Heavy machinery (IT, crane) is not required for the duration of the installation process, freeing up valuable resources at the mine site.
Safescape has a team of highly skilled, experienced installers who can complete installation. Installation is fast and requires little support from the mine operator. For example, a typical 50 metre (164′) Laddertube escapeway can be installed in two shifts provided there are no significant site delays.
Our installation team usually consists of two personnel who are equipped with a light vehicle and the specific equipment required for the installation.
It is possible for a mine site to complete its own installation. We will provide your personnel with all the training and assessment required to allow them to competently install our products. Training is delivered by Safescape’s experienced personnel.
If you have any specific requests or requirements, we would love to hear from you. We are highly flexible and will work with you to find a solution that fits your needs wherever possible.
