Fosterville Gold Mine

Fosterville Gold Mine was Safescape’s first Installation back in 2010 and since then we have installed 30 ladders on site, over 1,100m.

Trucks deliver Laddertube to the Fosterville portal in 2010.

The Situation

The Fosterville Mine is a high-grade, low cost underground gold mine, located 20km from the city of Bendigo in the State of Victoria, Australia. The Fosterville Mine features growing gold production at increasingly high grades, as well as extensive in-mine and district scale exploration potential.

The Solution

Fosterville Gold Mine was Safescape’s first Installation back in 2010 and since then we have installed 30 ladders on site, over 1,100m. The raise bores on site are between 1.1 to 1.5m and in some areas of the mine, Safescape have supplied and installed ground support by installing the ladders within High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) pipe.
